He had a chain of shops in the 70 s and 80 s called strangeways which sold eccentric ceramics jewellery and stationary he now is happy running bosney farm in rye.

Christopher was born in 1789 in northumberland england. Christopher strangeway was born circa 1824 at birth place to christopher strangeways and mary strangeways born nesbit. Christopher was one of the founding partners of cosmo china or the northington china company as it was originally called in the late 80 s. Cosmo china is a handpainted ceramics studio and shop in bloomsbury london.

At my ceramics degree show in 1986 i was invited by josie firmin and christopher strangeways to join a co operative workshop in london where a group of artists including illustrators ceramicists sculptors were invited to decorate bone china with their own ideas and designs. A huge quantity of ceramics jewellery clocks prints and stationery was sold. Sir was born in 1410 in sneaton yorkshire england.
